At Dr Taylor’s practice, we continually strive to maintain a high standard of patient care.
The practice comprises of a small, close team, consisting of Dr David Taylor, a practice manager, Laurel, practice nurse, Apala and receptionist, Belinda. Our staff endeavour to exceed patient and carer expectations for comfort, convenience and efficiency.
The practice collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams such as physiotherapists, dieticians, wound and stomal therapists, radiologists and many more to ensure patients receive safe and comprehensive care. Above all, the staff understand the sensitive nature of colorectal conditions and provide a compassionate, caring and supportive environment for patients and their families.
Belinda – Receptionist
Belinda has been employed by Dr Taylor as his secretary since 2014. Belinda provides support through administration and assists in ensuring the practice functions smoothly. Belinda prides herself in delivering excellent customer service.
Apala– Practice Nurse
Apala has been Dr Taylor’s Practice Nurse since 2014. She has also worked with Dr Taylor at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for about three years prior to this. Apala graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing in 2005 and has since worked in a variety of settings including inpatient wards, outpatients, care coordination and research nursing. She has always had an interest in colorectal and general surgical nursing. Her role at the practice is to provide clinical support to patients.
Jerry – Trainee Surgeon and Research Fellow
Jerry is a junior research fellow, training and working with Dr Taylor and the Wesley Medical Research Institute. His role within Dr Taylor’s clinical practise is for peri operative patient support.
Laurel – Practice Manager
Laurel has been working with Dr Taylor since the beginning of 2016. Her role is to ensure the practice runs smoothly and efficiently and patients receive the best possible service.
